'TO END ALL WAR' DOCUMENTARY
For this Emmy-nominated documentary, I developed a visual design system that blended narrative animation, scientific explainers, and a title sequence to complement archival footage and interviews.
Narrative Sequences
I animated historical moments where footage was unavailable, using a moody,
cinema-graph approach for seamless transitions between animation and live-action.
Scientific Explainers
I created simplified yet visually cohesive representations of nuclear fission and atomic energy, making complex physics accessible while maintaining the film’s aesthetic.
Title Sequence
Designed to match the energy of the cold open, using industrial-era typography setting the stage for Oppenheimer’s story.
By combining some 3D environments, 2D paintings, and photographic elements, I crafted an animation style that was dreamlike, tactile, and era-authentic, reinforcing the film’s tone and historical weight.
